Passing- Football

This is the application of the small amount if force in order to reach the intended teammate.

 

Type of passes

  1. Wall pass.

  2. Square pass.

  3. Through pass.

  4. Diagonal pass.

  5. Back pass.


Soccer Passes

1.    Push pass

When passing the ball in soccer using push pass

Use a flat ground which is free from dangerous objects.

Wear a suitable sports kit Perform enough warm up and cool down activities before and after the game.

Follow your teachers’ instructions correctly.


2.    Wall pass
  1. When playing wall pass skill.

  2. Communicate loud and clear ‘’wall pass’’ among your teammates involved in the pass.

  3. A minimum of two teammates should be involved in the passing in order to move the ball past an opponent player.

  4. One player makes a good pass and sprints into the open space in order to receive the ball from the second teammate.

  5. The player who receives the pass should sprint behind the defender. The teammate should then pass the ball in the space Infront of him or her.


3.    Outside of the foot pass.
  1. When passing the ball using outside of the foot.

  2. Approach the ball with the upper body slightly bent.

  3. Bring the non-kicking leg to the same level with the ball but lightly away from the kicking foot.

  4. Shift the body weight to the supporting legend slightly Bend it.

  5. Turn the toes of the kicking foot inwards to face the non-kicking foot

  6. Swing the kicking leg and strike the ball with the middle of outside foot.

  7. Ensure the pass is directed at the intended target or teammate. Instep Pass The instep kick or pass uses the upper surface of the foot, also called ‘’the laces’’

  How to make an instep pass

1.      Place the left foot level with the ball.

2.      Open hip and turn kicking foot open

3.      Kick the ball width with the instep of the foot.
