A Wind Instrument produces sound by blowing air into the instrument

Different Communities have different wind instruments

They vary in size, shapes and materials used to make them

Parts of Wind Instruments

  1. Blowing Hole

  2. Sound Holes/ Finger Holes

  3. Open End


  1. Blowing Hole/ Mouth Piece

This is an opening which allows air to pass into the instrument when blowing


2. Sound Holes

They produce sound when opened and closed


3. Open End

This is a part of the instrument which lets the air out
